The Fail-Safe Form Footer, invented by David Paul, was developed to reduce the risk of footer failure in the Deck and Sunroom industry. The current process for a “Footer Inspection” is in reality only a hole inspection; for proper width and depth. Previously the Building Inspector never had the opportunity to actually verify the concrete footer that is part of the Critical Path for a successful construction project.
During the implementation of the new I.R.C. 2006 Building Codes it became apparent to David that there were no Pier Footer forms available on the market that conformed to the new code requirements regarding Vertical Rebar for Uplift, nor Horizontal Rebar for Lateral Load. All that was available were outdated products that required a great deal of time and labor that used methods that caused results that were inconsistent at best.
Due to years of hands on experience in the construction field, David was able to create a product that is simple in design, easy to use and creates the strongest Pier Footer System available today.
